Black-Eyed Peas and Kale with Smoked Turkey Neck

Ingredients:

-1.5 cups dried black-eyed peas, washed, soaked overnight and drained

-1 bunch kale, washed, stems removed and leaves chopped

-1 or 2 smoked turkey neck cut into pieces (about 1.5 to 2 lbs)

-1 large onion, diced

-1 Green Bell Pepper, diced

-1 Red Bell Pepper, diced

-8 cloves garlic, minced

-1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes

-8 cups chicken broth

-1 teaspoon smoked paprika

-1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper or your favorite Hot Sauce (adjust to taste)

-Salt and black pepper to taste

-4 tablespoons Avocado oil

-1 Bay leaves

-3 sprigs of FRESH thyme, rinsed

 

Instructions:

1. In a large pot with a heavy bottom, heat Avocado oil over medium to medium high heat. Add chopped onions and bell peppers and sauté until the onions become translucent and the peppers get a little soft.

2. Add minced garlic and sauté for another 2 minutes until fragrant.

3. Add the soaked and drained black-eyed peas, smoked turkey neck, diced tomatoes, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper (or Hot sauce) salt, and black pepper, bay leaf and thyme to the pot. Stir to combine.

4. Pour in the chicken broth. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 30 to 40 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

5. After 30 minutes, add the chopped kale to the pot. Stir well and continue simmering for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the black-eyed peas are tender and the kale is wilted.

6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

7. Remove the smoked turkey neck from the pot, shred the meat, and return it to the pot. ( I personally treat them like oxtails and leave them on the bone which I’ll eat with my hands and suck the bones, I’m just saying)

8. Serve the black-eyed peas and kale hot, optionally with some delicious cornbread

This should serve approximately 8 people, depending on individual portion sizes and whether it’s served as a main dish or a side. Adjusting the quantities of ingredients based on the number of servings you need is always a good idea.

I like this delicious but also nutritious soup combining the earthy flavors of black-eyed peas and kale with the smokiness of turkey neck. The cornbread adds a little sweetness that brings it all together.

Roasted Vegetable Medley with Mixed Greens

Ingredients:

2 cups spinach, washed and chopped

2 cups lettuce, washed and torn into bite-sized pieces

2 cups mixed greens, washed and chopped

2 carrots, peeled and sliced into rounds

2 potatoes, scrubbed and diced

1 sweet potato, peeled and diced

1 celery root, peeled and diced

1 cup Jerusalem artichokes (sunchokes), scrubbed and diced

1 cup mixed fall radishes, trimmed and sliced

1 red beet, peeled and diced

3 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all the chopped vegetables: spinach, lettuce, mixed greens, carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, celery root, Jerusalem artichokes, mixed fall radishes, and red beet.

3. Drizzle the olive oil over the vegetables and add minced garlic, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until the vegetables are evenly coated with the seasonings.

4. Spread the seasoned vegetables in a single layer on a large baking sheet.

5. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast the vegetables for about 25-30 minutes, or until they are tender and golden brown, stirring halfway through the cooking time for even roasting.

6. Once the vegetables are roasted to perfection, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a serving dish.

7. Serve the roasted vegetable medley with mixed greens as a delicious and colorful side dish or as a light vegetarian main course.

Embracing the Prophetic Word

The journey toward word-life balance begins with the decision to sow your seed. If you’re invested in the future then you should commit to sowing into it. A word with a seed on it has a sweet smelling savor like none other. James 2:26 reminds us, “Faith without works is dead.” Thus, we are called to actively pursue the fulfillment of the prophetic word through obedience, perseverance, and diligence in every endeavor. Open the Tarumah App. Practice giving the Tarumah and paying your tithes, it spiritually settles old events making way for the seed to manifest what’s next. By taking practical steps toward the realization of our prophetic destiny, we demonstrate our unwavering commitment to God’s plan for our lives.

Oftentimes a word of wisdom will coincide with the word of prophecy. Write it down and place it where you can see it. Having your plan of action visible is key. It challenges you daily asking, “Do you really want what you sown and prayed for?” For me personally, the answer is YES! When I am in action around my prophetic word, I am fearlessly confronting everything in my life that challenges it.

Cultivating Patience and Perseverance

In the journey toward word-life balance, patience and perseverance are indispensable virtues. Despite facing challenges and setbacks along the way, we are encouraged to remain steadfast in our faith, knowing that God’s promises are sure and unwavering. Take time to review your progress, change your posture and be actively patient. You can practice this by getting involved in the community, serving, and making an appointment with your prophetic coach. Talk about your concerns in your coaching session. Don’t deflect, you’re not there to learn about them. You’re there to be honest about you and how sometimes you allow your fearful inner child to drive the seat of your emotions. Take deep breaths, pray and move forward. As Hebrews 10:36 assures us, “You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.”

As we progress on our journey, it is vital to celebrate the milestones and miracles that mark the manifestation of the prophetic word in our lives.

The prophetic role in divine communication is a comprehensive function that transcends mere message delivery. Prophets are divine instruments not just because they speak God’s words but because they embody and enact God’s will through their lives. Their teachings, warnings, and the very example of their existence among us serve as a direct link to the divine, guiding humanity through the complexities of life towards spiritual enlightenment and fulfillment. Through their diverse roles, Prophets ensure that divine communication is alive, relevant, and transformative, catering to the evolving spiritual needs of humanity.

One of the primary functions of a Prophet is to guide and instruct the people in the ways that align with divine principles. This guidance often includes moral and ethical teachings, laws for communal living, and rituals for worship that connect the community more closely with the divine.

The Prophet then is a… Mouthpiece for God- Prophets are individuals called and equipped by God to speak God’s word to the people. They are not merely predicting the future but are communicating divine will, guidance, and wisdom for the present and future, according to God’s purposes.

Dear Company of Prophets and Prophetic Community,

As we celebrate the birthday of our esteemed Grand Master Prophet, it is fitting to reflect on the rapid advanceme

nts that have shaped our society in recent years. Dr Jordan has recently done a teaching that from 2000 

to 2016, we witnessed a century’s worth of progress, and experts predict that the next two years, from 2024 to 2026, will bring about another 50 years of advancement, largely propelled by the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Though a disruptor, artificial intelligence has become increasingly more of a multiplier.

AI has emerged as a disruptive force, challenging traditional paradigms across various industries, from digital ecclesiology to cashless payments and self-driving vehicles. While much attention is given to the disruptive nature of AI, it is crucial for us, as prophetic voices, to recognize and emphasize the multiplication potential that it holds.

The Bible provides compelling examples of disruption leading to multiplication. In Jesus’ first miracl

e at the wedding in Cana (John 2:1-11), the six stone pots used for foot washing were disrupted from their original purpose when Jesus instructed the servants to fill them with water. This disruption led to a miraculous multiplication as Jesus transformed the water into wine, not just for a day, but for the entire duration of the wedding feast.

Similarly, the story of the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25-34) demonstrates how a disruptive touch of faith can lead to the multiplication of wholeness and healing.

As prophetic voices, we must heed the words of our master prophet, who wisely stated, “Your enemy is not the devil; it is the ignorance of the current.” In the context of AI, ignorance and fear of the unknown can hinder us from embracing the opportunities it presents. It is our responsibility to stay informed, understand the current state of AI, and provide prophetic insight to guide its development and deployment in alignment with biblical principles.

AI has the potential to revolutionize industries, improve efficiency, and unlock new frontiers of innovation. Just as Jesus transformed water into wine and brought wholeness to the woman with the issue of blood, AI can bring about transformative changes in various sectors, from healthcare and education to finance and beyond.

As prophetic voices, we must discern the times and speak forth the multiplicative potential of AI, encouraging its wise and ethical application for the betterment of society.

As a company of prophets and a prophetic community, let us embrace this technology with wisdom, understanding, and prophetic insight. May we be like the sons of Issachar, discerning the times and knowing what to do (1 Chronicles 12:32). By staying informed and proactive, we can shape the future and witness remarkable transformations, just as we see in the biblical examples of water turned into wine and the woman with the issue of blood finding wholeness.
