Virginia Union University to Honor Archbishop E. Bernard Jordan, VUU Alumnus, with Honorary Degree During 126th Commencement Ceremony

Richmond, VA – May 7, 2025 – Virginia Union University (VUU) is proud to announce that Archbishop E. Bernard Jordan, a distinguished VUU alumnus and founder of Zoe Ministries, will be awarded an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree during the 126th Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 9:00 AM, at Hovey Stadium.
A proud graduate of Virginia Union University, Archbishop Jordan has built a legacy of faith-based leadership and community empowerment. As the founder of Zoe Ministries, he has led the church and its programs in helping countless individuals achieve spiritual and financial success. His commitment to social justice, prosperity, and empowering marginalized communities has earned him widespread recognition as a leader and change-maker in the global faith community.
Throughout his career, Archbishop Jordan has been an influential voice in both the church and secular arenas, providing wisdom and guidance to a diverse group of individuals. His work in financial literacy, prosperity teachings, and spiritual guidance has transformed lives and communities. He is also known for his commitment to mentoring young leaders, furthering the values of faith and excellence that have always been central to VUU’s mission.

The ceremony will also feature The Honorable Raphael G. Warnock, U.S. Senator for Georgia and Senior Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, as the commencement speaker. Senator Warnock will provide words of wisdom and encouragement to over 352 graduates, all of whom have persevered through academic challenges and have emerged as leaders ready to shape the world.
