shofar marks a Rosh Hashanah household — a $557.87 seed — with the family names listed beneath it.

How a name gets on this wall

Sow a seed in the Days of Awe. Any of the four doors — the hem seed, the builder, the fullness or the abundant seed. When your seed clears, the thank-you page asks you to confirm your name for the wall.

Then name one person you are carrying. They do not have to sow. They do not have to know. That is the whole point — you can carry someone who cannot carry themselves.

Sow the $557.87 Rosh Hashanah seed, or more, and you may write up to 30. The head of the new year, and the seed carries the year in its number. Your whole household goes onto the wall beneath your name, marked with a shofar, and every one of them is named in the Rosh Hashanah prayer.

Only seeds sown from Rosh Hashanah onward are written up. First name and last initial only; no surnames, no amounts, ever.
